Disinfecting with Electrostatic technology

Many businesses and offices have transitioned to “work from home” during the COVID-19 pandemic, which is a great way to help keep overall numbers down. However, this is not an option for essential businesses. Many essential businesses have had to work diligently keeping their place of business safe and clean. Now many non-essential businesses are laying ground work to open their offices, the importance is higher than ever to maintain a safe and clean facility. Newpoint can help, just as we have helped essential business while they remained open. Our team is trained, ready and willing.

Keeping staff healthy. Are you developing your plan?

When your staff returns, they will need to feel confident that extra precautions are being made, that their leaders are going above and beyond. What will this take to achieve? What goals need to be set? People are your assets. Every team member brings value to your business, it should be your top priority to keep your greatest assets in a safe and healthy environment. Ensuring risk of illness is low and confidence high is the goal.

You cannot see viruses; you cannot see Covid-19. Many illnesses spread invisibly, just like COVID-19. There are best practices and tools to help eliminate the spread. Most everyone knows the methods to keep things clean and safe; using sanitizer spray or wipes, wearing masks, washing hands, social distancing etc. Each are great and necessary and are fairly easy. If this is all you’re doing, then there is a lot left on the table- no pun intended.

So what is the secret weapon?

 Electrostatic Spraying

When it comes to the best, most economical way to keep large facilities sanitized electrostatic spraying is the way. It’s an evolutionary system that uses a chemical disinfectant. It’s how it is applied that makes the difference. By spraying an extremely fine mist that is electrically charged the disinfectant is attracted to surfaces. It wants to bond to the surfaces. When it is attracted to surfaces it “wraps” its self around all surfaces. Think not only the table top or the face of the drawer but all of the edges, around the knobs on the drawer, undersides of the arms on the chairs and beyond. Disinfectants utilized with electrostatic spraying are the most effective method when it comes to killing 99.99% of viruses.

The “old method” spray practices coat just surfaces. What about the back or underneath side of object? People touch those surfaces often, more than they realize. Disinfectant needs to wrap around the object eliminating viruses on all surfaces.

Newpoint uses two disinfectants; 40a and C-Diff which are produced by 3M. Both 40a and C-Diff are a hospital grade disinfectant that is successful killing numerous viruses, including COVID-19. The product is applied wet via an electrostatic sprayer and will air dry as it bonds to the surface, continuing to kill any viruses that it comes in contact with.

 Additional Benefits

Electrostatic spraying can offer several benefits in addition to preventing the spread of viruses like COVID-19. The way the electrostatic sprayer distributes disinfectant will save you time, money and give you better overall coverage.

But here is one major benefit of implementing a disinfecting regimen. Did you know on average employers spend $1,685 annually per employee for sick leave? You can help reduce that figure by utilizing a professional to implement an electrostatic spraying program for your office. Remember, it not only is for Covid-19 but numerous other viruses like influenza.

 • Saves Money – Efficiency achieves less cost. Labor and less chemical is the outcome if using an electrostatic sprayer. Particles spread out, evenly and effectively coating surfaces, using less disinfectant and saving you money.

• Better Coverage – The positively charged droplets can find their way too hard to reach places you may otherwise be unable to coat or reach.

3. Can they tell you what the dwell time is for the chemical?

4. Can they confidently and clearly explain the electrostatic system, how it works and why it is superior?

5. What brand equipment are they utilizing?

6. Does the chemical linger in the air?

7. What PPE do they need to wear, do you need to wear any PPE after the service and for how long?

8. Will they perform any before and after testing?

·      Newpoint uses an AccuPoint ATP Hygiene Monitoring System to test areas. Exactly what hospitals use.
